This weekend was time for another campout! The kids love when we go camping. We went up Franklin Basin with our friends Brett and Britney. We left Friday evening and it was PACKED up there. We finally were able to get a spot with some hunting buddies of Brett. They were so awesome to let us 'crash' with them. The kids had blast because there were so many dogs to play with!
Saturday we headed out to Bear Lake for some fun in the water! The kids loved playing in the warmer puddles next to the lake. Dirk had lots of fun helping them dig a "pool" in the sand. They sat in it forever playing! The weather was perfect! It was around 75-80 degrees. The sun must have been pretty intense though because everyone but the kids came back really burnt!

When we got back to camp the others told us about this original Pony Express drop off about 5 miles further up the road by an old ranch spread. It is around the back of this huge tree that had been hollowed out. It's always cool to find a piece of history so close to home!
